Connecting Knowledge: reflections on innovation and entrepreneurship in AgriFoodTech with Ferran Adrià

On 27 February, we attended Connecting Knowledge, a key event in the AgriFoodTech sector where innovation and technological entrepreneurship were the focus of the day. Held at La Vega Innova (CENCA, San Fernando de Henares), the event brought together experts, startups and organisations from the agri-food ecosystem to reflect on the future of the sector.
One of the most anticipated moments was the keynote speech by Ferran Adrià, a world-renowned figure in creativity and innovation, who shared his vision on the importance of applied knowledge in gastronomy and the food industry.

Innovation and entrepreneurship in AgriFoodTech
The day began with an opening speech by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, highlighting the importance the public sector places on AgriFoodTech as a driver of development.
Later, Ferran Adrià gave a talk on entrepreneurship and innovation, stressing the importance of research, creativity and disruption in the agri-food world. His focus on knowledge management as the key to success inspired everyone in the room.
Innovation showcase at La Vega Innova
As well as the keynote speeches and panel discussions, the event had an exhibition area where startups and tech companies presented their solutions.
At Sanzar Group, we were able to show our software in this exhibition area, so that professionals from the agri-food sector could try its features first-hand and explore its applications in agricultural digitalisation. It was a good occasion to increase the visibility of our technology and make new connections with experts and investors in the field.

Closing and networking
The event concluded with a closing speech by Begoña García Bernal, Secretary of State for Agriculture and Food, followed by a Spanish aperitif and an AgriFoodTech startup showroom, where attendees could explore innovative projects in the sector.
At Sanzar Group, we see this event as an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, show our technological solutions and strengthen the agri-food innovation ecosystem in Spain. Combining knowledge, creativity and technology is key to addressing the sector’s challenges and having an impact on agricultural production and the food industry.
