Sanzar Group software applied in olive: reducing costs and boosting yields in Tunisia and Spain

In an ambitious international project, Sanzar Group, in collaboration with IFFCO and IRTA, is leading changes in olive farming in Tunisia and Spain. The initiative aims to make olive cultivation more sustainable and efficient.

Key insights
- International collaboration: Sanzar Group has partnered with IFFCO and IRTA on a project to reduce agrochemical and water waste in olive farming. It reflects our commitment to agricultural sustainability worldwide.
- Integration of IoT sensors: with IoT sensors, our software delivers real-time data on soil conditions, moisture levels and other critical factors. This data helps farmers make informed decisions and use resources better.
- Precision agriculture software: our objective is clear: to develop precision agriculture software designed specifically for olive tree cultivation. The software uses satellite imagery and machine learning algorithms to give precise recommendations on irrigation and nutrient (fertigation) requirements.
- Cost savings and yield enhancement: farmers can expect savings of more than 30% in production costs and yield increases of more than 10%. The software gives detailed figures in kg/ha for the main fertilization components, Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K).
