Exploring innovation in Massachusetts: a week of learning and networking

Last week our team had the opportunity to get to know the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Massachusetts, visiting both Boston and Cambridge. The trip was organised by MIDE | Madrid Innovation Driven Ecosystem and the Fundación para el Conocimiento madri+d, who opened the door for us to one of the world’s leading innovation hubs.

During the week we spent a lot of time with leading entrepreneurs who generously shared their knowledge and experience. These conversations gave us valuable lessons for anyone involved in building a company.
The visit included tours of well-known innovation centres such as The Engine, Harvard Innovation Lab and the Cambridge Innovation Center. The way these places operate made a strong impression on us and showed how entrepreneurs on the other side of the Atlantic move their projects forward.
The trip also widened our network considerably. We met many influential people and gained a better understanding of the Massachusetts market. This is important as we consider how to enter that market and what we can offer it.
Overall, the experience was enlightening and inspiring, and it pushed us to think globally while acting locally. We look forward to applying what we learned and exploring the possibilities ahead.
