The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Wayra Telefónica's director visit iHub La Vega Innova

At Sanzar Group we want to share the details of an event that took place at iHub La Vega Innova, the hub we are part of. We had the honour of welcoming Luis Planas, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA), and his team. The Wayra Telefónica team also attended, led by Wayra’s director, Andrés Saborido. The meeting was more than a formality: it opened the way to new projects and collaborations.

The visit was a good opportunity to talk directly with MAPA. We presented our initiative that combines high-resolution satellite imagery with advanced artificial intelligence models to assess risks and damage. The approach drew the attention of the ministry’s representatives and of the entrepreneurs who were present.
Following this event, we have started new projects aimed at reducing operating costs and time for companies, insurers and the government. The benefits also reach farmers, who can gain productivity and reduce both economic and environmental costs. Our techniques aim to minimise the use of water and agrochemicals, in line with sustainable farming practices.
We are very happy with the prospects these new projects open up. They are a step forward in our commitment to innovation in agriculture, sustainability and economic efficiency. The visit of Minister Planas and his team, together with Andrés Saborido and the Wayra Telefónica team, made these opportunities possible, and we are grateful for the contacts made and the visibility it has given our work.
Looking ahead, we expect these collaborations to have a positive impact. Reducing operating costs, saving time, increasing productivity and improving sustainability are our goals, and we will share our progress with you.
